ok just dont use eye candy obviously.. the fire, ripple and smoke all suck and are generally easy to do manually

to answer your question, eyecandy should work fine in CS, i have had no probs with this version, but one i downloaded from Kazaa did screw up PS 7, try getting a copy from Limewire
