Got bored while watching the idiot box. Saw a commercial for Reese's peanut butter cups with an illustration of the candy. It's no secret that I like me some Reese's. So I decided to see if I could make a decent version of the illustration in Photoshop. It's not perfect but I think it turned out okay.

So, in the tradition of PSC.... How would YOU make it? What would you change? What would you add? Make one and post it!

The little paper cups should be darker I'm comparing one right now to the screen.

Fixed Luis. It was a zip file of the PSD and I typed the wrong filename. Oh and the only external (used for reference) is in the PSD.


No paper cups on them. Supposed to be all chocolate.

Now do one with a bite in it.

It does look like a double layer going around the outside. (like a wrapper)

Great. Now I want a Reeses.

My original was going to have the bite but I just got too tired to continue. Ironically the idea to try it myself came because the bite and perspective in the TV commercial looked "off" to me.

I'd LOVE to see how you'd make one Rey. And I gotta say that getting a "Good job." from someone of your caliber means a metric ton of happy to me.


Now you know why I did one in Photoshop instead of pigging out.
