Hey ya'll, I've been getting a lot of emails telling me that people are downloading my layered files from Box.net but it doesn't tell me who. Just wondering. Is it anyone here?? It would be nice to get feedback. Let me know if it was helpful, what you used it for, what you learned or what you would do different. etc.

how many box.net files do you have being shared?

can you password protect them to stop people from downloading them, or change the files to private - like you can on photobucket?

or do they have some sort of tracker that shows the originating website people clicked thru to get to your files? a co-worker of mine has that sort of deal to track who is looking at his site by where they're coming from, and he doesn't have anything to download.

'Someone' is any user who downloads a file from a shared link while not logged into Box.net. You will find on your 'Updates' page various mentions of 'Someone has downloaded your file' if you have used the 'Shared' link feature to allow others to download your files. Please note that 'Business' users can see a list of IP addresses associated with each mention of Someone within the 'Admin Console.'
