not trying to be morbid but i think there is a 50/50 chance of 2 things happening, first is you die and go to a state like when sleeping but not dreaming like nothing exists, or you are aware forever like you always exist and we never die, now i ask do i want to exist forever or die and not exist. im glad to be alive just knowing i will experience it what ever the outcome i guess....................

I'd love to believe that there's some kind of afterlife out there-- that I get to hang out on a big fluffy cloud drinking margaritas for all eternity-- but realistically, I think when you die that's it. When your brain function stops you cease to exist to yourself. (which is not to say you don't still exist to those who remember you)
Not a happy thought, but I tend to have a pretty pragmatic (not to be confused with cynical) view on things...

Well Dside666, the first thing that usually happens is sombody calls the ambulance or the coroner. After that, your kinfolk (that's what we call them here) make a B-Line for your house to see what's there that they want. While you're being embalmed, relatives are fighting over who gets the car, antique furniture and everything else of value. Something else that happens when you die is lots of people that never had a decent thing to say about you while you were alive start bellowing how wonderful you were and they will say, he's in a better place now, no more suffering, blah blah blah. The bottom line is, the minute that dirt starts covering your casket you start to fade into nothingness to those that are alive, except for the ppl closest to you. They remember you well but others forget very soon.

Ah yes... and THAT'S what happened to Scooter when he "died"...
(For anyone who joined... umm.. less than about 3-4 months ago, sorry, you'll probably miss that one... heh.)
