Hi everyone!!!
Wow!!..what a week its been up here in Vegas. I've met so many people and learned so many new things with all the adobe products.
1. Some prototype filters were shown at the Keynote speech. Their is new technology being developed by adobe using this new filter. The way it works (called the csi filter) is any photoshop image created stores information about how it was manipulated. When you save your image and post it to the web..the info is still stored on that image. So ..lets say you download an image from this site (photoshopcontest)..and you want to see the areas that where cloned lets say....this new filter will show the ares (in pink) that you sourced....and (in blue) show where you sourced it to. This will be extremely useful to detect frodgulent images in the newspaper, government, web and the public domain. This Prototype filter will not be coming out in the next two versions...but keep an eye out for it. Also..the splash screen for Photoshop CS3 was shown (code name: Red Pill)
2. I got to met all the photoshop guru (scott kelby, dave cross, and matt kloskowski at the conference. They are just as funny in person as they are on photoshoptv. I bought several books...had them sign it.
3. Its well worth paying the money to go to these conferences. You get one-on-one time with all the instructors (most of them are THE top professionals in their field)..ie photography, digital graphics for tv, illustrators, etc.
4. One of the most valueble things you get by going to the conference is the 1000 page Photoshop World Training book (free with your registration). It has every conference class with all the notes and pictures in it. So if you missed any of the class at the conference...this book will cover exactly everything they talked about with source images too. I found that many people ask people who go...to bring them a copy of this...because its one of THE most valueble tresource to have besides all the new things you learn from the instructors.
5. I took my camera with me to Vegas...and ive taken about 500 pictures since i got up here. Im in the process of creating a gallery to show them to everyone.
