I want to upload a gif but even though file size and dimensions are smaller (400wide 300high)(350 kb) than the ones requested ERROR pops up when I try to upload.. Am I missing sth??

Sliv- it's gotta be at least 500 wide by 350 high. Try resizing it here:

There is a minimum size too.
min 500x350
max 550x450
so quite a limited size range...in landscape format too.
512kb limit, but you could add a white border if you really needed to reduce the file size.

It is landscape, and its 400 pixels wide by 300 pixels high.... but nothing

If it's too big a file still after optimisation.....add a white border

put the animated .gif on a plain back ground,
min 500x350
max 550x450
