"Micose, your images are made to be seen large, the small doesn't do them justice

Geez I know it...and thats why i was the first to put the annoying "click on pic" note...... that why i asked politely several times to THINK ABOUT getting the resized pic at 125ko.................... I neveer ask for sthg around here....like the site a lot......BUT PLEASE READ THIS AND THINK ABOUT IT cuz there's absolutely no way to see what i did in my pics.....THATS WHY I SAY "GO BIG", and thats a shame that i have to do this every time....while 90% of the time the artists here produce slick stuff, and the result is quite equal in the resized or the original size....the thing is totally different for the use of fine textures................ please really think if its possible to add som Kos here, cuz 30 or 45 K definitly distort the pixels or blur them while a image is in fact very precise in the original version ..............

thx

what needs to happen is we still keep the 512kb limit, but the images are scaled at one size only max for display, like in the h2h, that being the max size and no clicking on images is required.

Maximum detail is show straight away. Then there is no issue, quality work at the correct resolution across the board.

700 x 700 max, and do away with the stupid 1280 x 960 that requires an image click, and then in many cases a further click to magnify to max.

Shocked
I think thats a rather personal question... don't you! Laughing

a more serious note.
I agree we could use a standard size that doesn't 'need' to be clicked big. I would be for 700 x 700 sizes or something to that effect. But after saying that, I also click big on most of the pictures, cause I know of the issues. Plus the fact that I like looking at the entries in their original created sizes.

Didn't want this thread to fall off the front page... I think it's a great idea Although I like the click big option, maybe a standard size of 800 x 800 or even a little bigger if it will still fit with the layout would suffice.( Is that a word<---?) Laughing

I'm totally banning you for that. Shocked Razz

But seriously my idea all along has been that users have a personal option that they can turn on and off so that when they go to an entry page, where the image is now, it instead loads the high quality image. I think it would actually be a reduction in bandwidth because I always open the full size when I vote, so I'm viewing the full size and the preview image (which i dont need to, thus eliminating the bandwidth from previews). We would just need to figure out a way to configure the screen for the user so that the full size images can be shown, but also still be friendly for you to maneuver around to vote and such.
