Hi everyone,

I found this link on adobe's website. Its called "Adobe Cards". Its an animation in flash that speaks for itself. It shows you with just a few playing cards ...what is possible. (creatively speaking). Make sure to scroll the dial all the way to the right after it loads.

Here's the link:

..it may take a few seconds to load..so be patient.

I don't understand which Adobe products were used to put this together, especially the 3D effects.
Flash? AfterEffects?

I see it as the death knell of 2d graphic arts. Sort of like when talkies started to displace market demand for old school silent films.

Vok, you're probably right. Flash, AfterEffects, Ps, maybe some others too ..

I'm not puzzled by the how. I'm puzzled by the why? Who made it? Who was it made for?

It looks like Adobe made it (or commissioned it) as an advertising piece for the CS3 suite

EDIT: a quick google reveals the piece was made by Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Mike Kellog, and it is not entirely Adobe software, but also Cinema 4D

Concept & Art Direction - Goodby Silverstein & Partners
Joker (the guy at the end) and Card Illustrations - John Craig
Flash, 3D Animation & Design - Mike Kellogg
Sound Design - Flip Baber

Thanks for doing that Vok. Smile

Question: doesn't this piece just make all of us want to run out and spend some extra green to keep up with what can be done today .. ?
