 Or maybe not.
What if we had an H2H every month. There would be a $5.00 entry fee. The money for the fees would go directly to a prize pool. If you get 100 people to enter, that is a $500 prize.
You can make it a $1.00 entry fee. It would just make the prize smaller.
What do ya think. (is it legal?) 
I would definitely go to a page like that. That is what most of us were looking for when we found this page anyways. No?..... .Liar

It would probably be illegal. When do we get a contest where the prize is a medal? I want something to show off

Why would it be illegal? Most art competitions (we are talking paintings) have an entry fee. (the good ones) And the winner sometimes gets money.

we are already payin for advantage so i dont think it would be illegal. id pay just to lose!

Interesting idea... I dont think we could do it every month though (this H2H is taking 3 months to complete), but a few times a year would be nice.
Though I'm also a fan of having one less day to vote. 2 days to post, 1 day to vote, and start the next round as soon as voting ends will cut back the times.

Actually it costs about $100 a year to host the website but you can get the software to MAKE the website for free. Just don't expect it to do much more than a BB or gallery unless you know PHP and HTML. (*cough**cough*)

Mmmm, prizes!  I would make more of an effort if I had paid to enter and I knew there was a nice shiny prize to win!

Really good idea, but it would be a disadvantage to more choppers on this site than to the pros here. The little guy would never win. Maybe there should be a split of the money into 3 or 4 different categories (i.e. best execution, best effort, funniest, etc), therefore, more than one person can win.

why would we have to reduce the prize if we went to a lower joining fee? If you could figure out how to get around that I think it would be a good idea......
