Granulated, the reason is simple. The rocket is fully laden with fuel and if you've ever seen a heavy rocket liftoff, they begin very slowly whereas the dog, presumably empty-bladdered, would respond with lightning reflexes to such an event.

Haha, great answer Vlad- I'll buy it. But some jerks would ask you to explain the stillness of the bushes directly beside the launch pad- but I ain't no jerk!

Ah Scrumpy, our engineers designed the H-20 missile to have the least environmental impact on the launch site. A second before the launch, a silo opens under the missile and 92% of the exhaust is channeled into the silo then vented to Toronto.

Brilliant feat of engineering. Good for the environment and keeps T.O. smelling like crap!

Ok. Ok. Here's the truth. We set up 2 cameras for the shot. The dog was lit with ordinary daylight while the rocket was lit with 4 Meggaflash meggaflash.com... flash bulbs. I have never been able to figure out how to do motion blur in photoshop.

Christ Gran, next you'll be asking Vlad why the chain on the side of the rocket isn't travelling at the same angle as the rest of it.God....
