I suck at shadows too because sometimes they are not predictable in different settings. Perhaps there are numerous light sources that the viewer can't see.. Looks good to me other then the strong shadow on ground cast by flying conknutthingybob

Ok. Cool idea. A couple things. The coins look stretched and too thin. The shadows are all over the place. The spikey things have a shadow to the left. The flying one has a shad directly below it but looks lit from the bottom. The stands all have
ReyRey ReyRey
different light sources. The shadow under the sign looks down and to the right. The stands seem to have a shadow on the bottom of them for no reason. The platforms on top of the sticks should cause a shadow on the stick below it.
ReyRey ReyRey
It does on some of the sticks but not the others as though they were being lit from the bottom. The motion streak makes it look like the nut was being thrown from under the table. None of the lighting or shadows has any rhyme or reason.

yeah the shadows are all over the place, needs sorting, if I can I will, cheers Rey.

This is one of the skills I think you really need to brush up on. Sometimes it seems that you just don't understand how light works so you just make everything dark so it almost hides the issue. That flying nut also is way too big. It's basketball sized
marcoballistic marcoballistic
that depends on how big you think the nuts are in relation, and I understand light, I guess sometimes I should spend more time going over my images, but hey, cheers for the pointers, ill try and update if I get the chance, but these days comign up...
marcoballistic marcoballistic
... really quite busy as I am sure everyone is, but see if I can get half an hour later :) cheers again Rey
