Since the structure in the original is about the same distance from the viewer as mine. I decided to keep the same perspective. But you are right, it does give the impression of sinking from the back.

I think if you straightened it up, it would not sit correctly in the scene as you have it, as you say it sits at a similar angle to the original from viewer. The issues is raised as there is only the sea, sky and building to offset against each other...
