The sun is off to the lower right of the image. . and shadow would be cast upon the small moon which is not in full alignment with each body in both orbital and linear wise.

I guess the best way to illustrate is would be to go down to the local billiard hall and align 2 balls on the table. Use a flashlight as the sun. Spread the two balls out and place a book under one and roll the far one into the shadow of the other.

Bah . I meant place the book under the far ball and roll it into the shadow of the one close to you. After rereading what I wrote I thought jeez that didn't sound quite right lol. Oh enjoy a few brews and play some pool while ya are there!
