2 things for shadows 1 is try using the multiple setting for the shadow layer. 2nd click the little box next to fx at the bottom of the layer window and then apply a gradient to the shadow and it will make a portion gradually fade away. Hope it helps. ;

Keep an eye on light/shadow position. If you look at the "source" pole shadow, the sun is positioned front (closer to the viewer) and more to the top....ie higher in the sky. Just a thought *!*
