He is way too close to that transformer to be carrying a hot Stick. Hot Sticks are used for live lines, and this guy would have to have a death wish to be that close to live lines.

It kinda happens to be my profession.... lol. I have worked with low voltage for about 8 years thats (600 and below) Im in a special military school and learning about medium (600-about 75KV) and high voltage transmission that goes up to 175KV I beleive.

I'm not licensed, but I have wired a few homes here in Salt Lake. My electrician pulls the permits and I do all the work under his guidance. Works out great if I'm low on work. It is fun too.
