TJ, Been playing guitar now for 45 years,did my first live gig in 1978,proud owner of a battleworn vintage 72 Les Paul custom I still gig with and I have done fine w/o that extra string.Bet if you gave BB KIng that Carvin he would put it in his closet ;·)

seriously though ...lighten up, this was just an idea for a chop,the seven string Carvin although I have never played one looks to be a fine guitar and I'm sure you play it well

on first sight it may seem like I just cloned out that middle string,not so please have a closer look,I also took away the very top string (bottom B) and moved up the E,A and D with their shadows,the nut and neck were adjusted for six strings...

... the G & B strings (& shadows) were shifted up to align with their position on nut,the truss rod cover was also worked to be coherent with the new situation,& the D tunning peg removed,lastly I made the star from the mother of pearl Carvin inlay

.. and all this was done imo,with exact photorealism and solid visual coherence,definitely not worth a vote...should've made a "guitar -bot" LOL !

thanks so much brad,no problem looks like you weren't the only one lol... I knew that would probably happen when I did it,but to me it was a personal challenge and I am pleased with the results,sometimes votes take a second seat to personal goals :)
