Thanks for the comment, insomnix. I was certainly going for the realistic look on this. Ill have to figure out a different brush next time i try fire. I found fire trasitioning into black smoke to be more of a chalange than i thought it would be.

upon inspection with zoom I really see you did a lot of fine work here, brushing in the fire and smoke give it an illusrtrative look, but I like that, good integration of external elements and nice color and light blending, all in all looks like a winner :)

oh I forgot to mention one small point in the critique earlier...that´s pretty dark and reddish water the center left helicopter is dumping on the fires ¿NO? looks like he´s putting out the fire with more fire

Insomnix
I think he was going for the fire retardant they drop like this https://oregonencyclopedia.org/media/uploads/Erickson_Italy_fire_drop_2008.jpg

LOL that looks more like agent orange than fire retardant,I guess whatever the fire doesn´t destroy, this will
|
|
|
Luxwiz
the orange retardant is called slurry, but is usually used on vegetation not buildings...slurry, a mixture of mostly water and fertilizer designed to protect trees and other flammable material from flames.

Yes. Insomnix is right. I was showing fire retardant. Water didnt show up against the light, non blue sky like the fire hoses on the ground did. Thanks the votes!
