This happened to our wall to, but only when you smoke alot in the house, Now only outside or under the hood when its freezing outside. The wife is the Boss :)

It's quite complex to work on this image when you add elements and want to adjust them to the lightning, reflections and even cast shadows. I agree with Tawiskaro about the wall. Reflections are okay, but there should also be a little shadow.

Tawiskaro, lights make wall paint get darker over time, but not affected as much behind a picture which stays closer to the original color.

I have observed the reverse--with sunlight, anyway. Sunlight bleaches/lightens pigments. I guess incandescent or fluorescent light produces a different effect.

I get your point, I went light because I figured people would look at it as a shadow if it was dark.

people and external painting need better integration into source,way too bright for the indirect artificial light in museum room,some desaturation,softening and subtle shadows in order imho
