Why do I feel that the guy is artificially brightened in the source? His brightness is contrary to the entire rest of the source. What ever light source is falling on him ain't hitting anything else.

I don’t think so G. The waves and foam and foreground dirt/sand ain’t getting any light, and for him to be that bright, including his hand and ankle which are off the chart just don’t add up.
