Programming For VCR Operation
The DHCT unit can be programmed to control playing tapes. Users must use the VCR Commander module to program the VCR for recording. (See the section Installing the VCR Commander to ensure that yours is installed properly.) Make sure the VCR is on before programming the remote control.
1. Locate the VCR setup code in the tables on the following pages. If the VCR is not listed, see Searching the Code Library in this chapter
for instructions.
2. Point the remote control away from the DHCT unit, the TV, and the VCR.
3. On the remote control, press and hold VCR and SELECT at the same time until the LED on the remote blinks twice.
4. Using the remote control keypad, enter the VCR's 3-digit setup code. The LED on the remote control blinks twice to confirm a valid code.
Your remote is now programmed to operate your VCR. Write your VCR code in the following boxes for future reference.
