Nice for a beginning attempt. I would suggest that you give it some shadows with skewing, distorting and bluring. On this one you may want to try and make the shadow appear as if it's on two different levels. Just play around with it. It will help the

A shadow under the kid's foot would be a good start. Mabey move him down the pole a bit so he's not standing on the edge of the sign (ouch) A good atempt.
