if you want to make real the volcanic lava then you have to remove the little yellow man from the right :) i suppose that is a bit dangerous to stay so close, don't you think? :))

Beautifully done - perspective and placement is faultless. There's only the tiniest halo of white around some parts of the chop... but damn this image works well.

I agree. I removed yellow man and most of halo by deleting lamp post altogether. LOL

i think the lava looks to high-res.. doesn't look like its really there... maybe blur it slightly and add some reflective light to the road just infront of it ! IMO

Thanks for the suggestion Chrome. My personal feelings are that the street looks static until the lave crosses over the area that it has passed. This is why I made my choice. I thought about saturating the fire so it was less bright, but I felt this would
