I'll vote for the ball but the floor is horrible. + it looks as if the ball is at the edge of something is about to fall off.

In the interest of learning-how did you do it?

After you select feather and recreate the two break discs in the PPI family, let n=1 be the dodecahedron (which has 30 edges, thus needing 30 units to make) and n=2 be the next one in this family (which we saw in Part 1, having 120 edges). Find a formula

O.K .O.K. I hope this is a better background. The sphere is supposed to look like it's about to fall off the edge. All joking aside I simply used a simulation of two Platonic solids - the icosahedron and the dodecahedron...I then worked on the brake

It seems like your sphere has a flat bottom, but it's probably cos it's about to fall ! Good work !

Thanks! Actually if you'll notice the sphere isn't round or curved, it's faceted, so its made up of 32 flat circular faces.

O.K. I moved the ball closer to the viewer so it doesn't look like it's going to fall off the edge. Thanks for all the suggestions!

Everything was created from scratch and the post pic. I used a computer generated geodesic model for the disc placements.

Nope... but I think her work is AWESOME! I've always been interested in geodesic forms.

I'd be gald to tell anyone the step by step process of doing this. It's not that hard, it just takes some precise placement.
