This is a VERY creative piece and excellent use of source. The reason it is not getting more votes is cos of the quality of the image itself (not the chopping skill). You should maybe have saved it at 500px height (instead of 600), then you wouldn't have had to compress it so much (plus the compression wouldn't be so obvious at that size). I'm sorry you didn't get more votes for this.
