Nice idea! I used to make and paint models as a kid. (Airfix, Humbrol, that sort of thing) Cutouts look a bit rough though. Try Layer > Matting > Defringe and/or use masks for cleaner cuts - see the PSC tutorials pages from ledirlo for more. :)
