Thanks Cynn for your question. I think that there would be some visual distortion when looking through the glass, but anything above a .04 gaussian blur wouldn't work (for me) to give it both the burred and "see through" effect, so I used the .04 and hop

you would have need to distort the shape.. cut out the part of the bg inside the glass and paste back into that selection and make it larger and perhaps some pinch.
