D, I think you're having trouble because the perspective is wrong. The table is shown from a slightly higher vantage point than your kettle. Maybe that's what's bugging you?

It is the perspective that is off, a very common problem. The teapot is shot from an almost level vantage point, there is only a trace of top visible. The viewing angle on the table is a good 20 degrees higher, the two just do not mesh. Keep working and y
