Good first GIF attempt! What Patre said, also - Keep experimenting with frame rates and positioning and you'll be another PSC GIF Master soon! :^)

Nice gif work. Know how hrd this is. Like the frame rate and the blur adds good perspective. Knowing how to stop a gif is always hard and text is a good idea to draw the voter in. Nice first work waiting for your next.

Gif's are fun. My first one was TERRIBLE and I've only attempted a few after that, and they also stank. Your first one beats mine hands down.

Edit: Thank you for your complimentary commenting votes, so far! My gif was making me dizzy, so I delayed the text a little longer.

It's sweet how the people are blurred at first, but then sharpen as they approach the "camera"

Wow, so happy to know I wasn't alone in my wanting to know! Here is the tutorial I found for making animated gifs: graphicssoft.about.com...

graphicssoft.about.com... try that again with a line break to keep it from getting cut off ^

Thank you for noticing, Freakboy! I used varrying degrees of Gaussin blur for each layer. Also, each frame of skiers is cut from a separate source pic from a series of photos I shot in "burst" mode this winter. Not knowing how to make animated gifs,
