We had no idea how popular the name Bailey was when we chose it. He was my mother's puppy, but proved too much to handle. She kept confusing the breed name as Jack Daniels, and had named him Bourbon!

My mom did find it rather awkward when someone else's dog would be sniffing her dog's scent on her legs and she'd innocently blurt out "Oh, he must be smelling Bourbon on me!"
