I changed the setting, composition and mood. The tree is also textured differently to give it the look of a tough oak standing relentless against the forces of nature and the solitude of the one broken and the other distant lonely bench. |

Rockprinzess, you introduced a life/death theme that really hadn't occurred to me when I created the picture. I think that what you say is true. When a loved one is "gone". The word lonely surely describes the feeling of those who are left to mourn.

I keep coming back to look at this and every time... i see something else... the faded out background, the texture of the trees... the monochromatic scheme... very bleak... very much life and death.
