I use the GIMP, so my way might not work in Photoshop, but I made a new layer, set the mode to color, and then painted over the area I wanted to recolor. You can lock transparency and fill the layer with a new color to get the color closer to the color…

you want, and you can use varying levels or transparency to lower the amount the color changes(I did this to the reflections and to soften the area around the fuzz on the left chair).
