Believe it or not it's the complete and utter truth. For all the other contests I have Advantage and I submit days in advance. It's been a while since I had to deal with the 8:00 deadline. Round 1 I had in the first day.
I had no workable ideas until last night at about 8:30pm. I stayed up trying to make a box and kept failing. I knew I'd be at work at 6:15 a.m. and was just thinking "Have it in by 7:45 to be safe". This morning I got so wrapped up in putting some details that I never once thought about the time zones.
I logged in and clicked to submit this morning and saw Nancy's entry. My first thought was WTF?!? Then I realized what happened and how stupid I was and felt ill. Literally ill. I think it's the massive surge of adrenilin and emotional letdown occuring at the same time.
In the end it matters not if you believe me though. It's the plain truth.
