I've always loved looking at illustration...wish I'd seriously pursued it...anyway if you have discovered a fresh new talented illustrator, I'm hoping you'll post a link here.

This is Mel Kadel from L.A. just written up in a magazine I'm reading while at work.

What the hell does that guyette smoke? I draw with pencil all the time, though. My favorite medium, along with Photoshop. I can't say i've ever drawn stuff quite that bizarre, though...

Mel's a woman.

I found using the inside old book covers for canvas was very clever.

Also, browse through her collaboration part of the site as well. It's all quite good!

I love her style. Reminds me of some of my sketches and illustrations.
Maybe someday, I will upload a few to show.

Before Photoshop, all I had was a pad and pencil. You name it, I drew it.

I have had a few cartoons and illustrations published. I am not blaming my addiction to Photoshop, but now my pad and pencil sit in a box in the garage, along with my sketches. Smile
