In aggregate, the map of the territory Bush won was mostly the land
owned by the tax-paying citizens of this great country. Gore's
territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in government-owned
tenements and living off government welfare.
Territories don't mean anything. If you think territory is a reflection of the amount of tax-paying citizens, then go visit Wyoming...there's hardly anyone there, yet it takes up a good portion of the maps. Same with many of the other grassland states.
The popular vote is what matters (not in election terms, but in the terms of how many people wanted Bush for president).

Bush = 47.9%
