you guys ever dabbeled in fractal art (i think thats what its called)? www.apophysis.org this is a piece of freeware in which you can create really intricate abstract fractal art easily. the only downside is as far as im concerned there is less help on the web about how to use it. still download it and post some results! i think it rocks. there are great tools for when your starting out- it gives you a load of random 'flames' i think they're called then a mutation tool which shows 9 different versions of your current piece with the setting slightly tweaked. theres even a renderer built in!

heres something i just brewed up:

post some results of yours so we can compete for the best Twisted Evil oh and no post editing Razz

cool, at the very least i'll be able to create some neat background images. I'll give it a go. It'll be awesome to add some of this into photoshop works, too.

after your in the internal render page, on the right theres a drop down box saying image quality. i usually set mine to about 1000 which is enough to look good and doesnt take too long to render.

oh btw guys, it talks about the 'beta' version on the website and theres a link. i really recommend getting it theres a lot of cool bonus stuff on it and a more friendly interface

its all good tofu, your guess is as good as mine Razz . most of the work you do on a piece is adjusting it not creating it

yeah, I wish it would let you create your own triangle things in the adjuster menu, and start from scratch; this just feels like i'm modifying a pre-existing work, not creating my own.

well i guess you can remove and add triangles etc. but you'd need to adjust all the properties continously untill it took shape Confused so its possible it just involves unnessassarly hard numbers Razz

I just noticed something in my image that reminded me of my recent canoe trip. While on the trip I got to see a bald eagle snatch a fish out of the river. My image looks like a bird above ripples. Coincidence or fate? Hmmm

Here's the embiggened version. I made the canvas blue this time to see if it made it look more like water. Anyone else see the bird coming right at them?
