OKAY I FIND OUT FOR UPLOADING, i was under Firefox, i changed, took Netscape and now it works.
Now the white : i think this site is just superb like this, i feel like in a psychiatric room and i like it...no seriously, works for me, if u change the color don't change it where the pics are cuz, now its very good: works are like in a reel exhibition wall. In real art galleries, all walls are white and its very important. Now we can see the work and focus better on it. I really luv the new site like this...;well just may be figure the avatar prob (that i hadn't with Firefox, quite funny), and why Firefox is not working for uploads.I like this simple white background,again...very good to put in lights a work.great!

Yep I can too now.
A few minutes ago it was telling me the contest had not yet opened when I clicked on the thumbs.

mason, this release was about droping the design and focusing on the artwork.
also, you mentioned in the chat that the top nav was a vertical list, it is not, hard-refresh as the css file is cached.
mason4300 wrote: Well, I hate to not like it, but...I don't like it. The older one was a lot more refined looking, with good colors and layout. This is one of my least favorite styles for a website. It seems so generic and cookie-cutter now, like all those other forums and blogs that are basically pre-made. There's no going back to anything similar to what we had?
Sorry to be the party-pooper, JMH.

It has a lot pro's and con's. Every new feature that made it (and didn't) was given serious thought.

You can edit your past entries; change the title, the author's notes and even repost it! I didn't try reposting any of my old entries, I don't see the use, besides, wouldn't posting a totaly different image totally confuse everyone?

I've decided. I really don't like being able to see the entries ahead of time, Or my entries being seen ahead of time. It stops some people from using their brains. It is easier to steal others ideas and then create your own version. So the person who created an image without looking at others entries gets robbed. It's kind of like seeing the other persons hand in poker. Now you know what he is holding so you know weather or not to get new cards. It's not fair to the person who used their creativity to come up with an idea and it's not fair to the person who decides to copy other's ideas. They will never grow creatively. Also I wonder if some people might get discouraged by seeing really good entries. Will they say "screw it! I can't compete with that!" I wonder. Now I don't want to post my entry until the last minute and that's not fair either. Does anyone agree with me?

I think that Rey is right about people being discouraged by the well executed preposted images. But besides that, the site kicks booty!

This new layout also does not work well with Safari. I am not seeing any avatars in the threads, so I don't know who is saying what.

Agree w/ Micose 100%
It was without a doubt my personal biggest peave and frustration about the old layout...
The off color effected every image you looked at in a negative way. It was like hanging fine art on a dirty wall. The blah shade bled into effected the images.Hell, bright , clean, professional looking chops always did poor and that was why.
I remember specifically taht i felt this image in particular was trashed because of the off color.http://photoshopcontest.com/view-entry/95632/display.html
Comon guys, can ya give it a chance and see what happens before you start complaining?
I'm scared of the 'visible pre-post', not that I'll get copied, but that if I do something good, everyone else knows what they have to beat.....I'll just post late and live with it..I suggest others that don't like it wait and post late too.Let's see how it goes.
Thank you jmh, I love the look and feel of the new site..way classier than even the last update. You deserve to be, and should be proud.
Has there been any changes relating to inethical entry posting practices, spam sign-ups, or site behavior rules?
Thanks again.

yes, a new image verification has been added to sign up to the forums, there will always be some spam though.
