[quote="ScionShade"]Well, looks to me that I see the same goup of people STILL in every contest with the
"Sorry-out votes" garbage...
That same group are all people worried about getting votes who blow every vote they have at the start of a contest hoping for reciprocals.
The "sorry" statements are just to develop good feelings with the not yet able to vote new members for after they hit their ten enties..at which time the vote traders will toss them a few bones.
It's the same people that the last ten of these very similar threads were about.
So, I'm a little bit confused---I mean...I
This is right up there with those people that welcome new posters so they can get a vote later garbage, and by the way scion, when I run out of votes because there are more than 25 worthy entries, I'm sincere about being sorry that I can't vote for a good post, and so I express it, I would rather hear a comment over nothing at all, or even a vote, expecially POSITIVE ones... hint, hint

Calm down, guys... I made this post on day 3 of the contest when the entry still had 4 votes and only 30 views.
...not 30 votes. That's what it ended with (around there)...probably because of this thread.
The real point of this thread was to introduce a talented new member and hopefully get him the votes he deserved.
I'm just saying...look at the late entries and save a few votes for those that *may* be good! Is that such a bad idea? Nothing wrong with voting on day one...but all 25? Jeez.

I agree with a lot of what people are saying here... but I am a non advantage person here and I don't think that there is anything wrong with someone blowing all of there votes in the first day. Yeah, it sucks when you think you did a good job and not that many people think so, even with comments. But, life isn't fair and I am not paying here yet, so I'm not mad at anyone here, why should the advantage people be upset with each other? Plus, if someone only cares about the good people then eventually people will notice and decide that maybe they won't vote for him/her till they change their habbits... I mean it takes more then one person to decide who's picture was the best for the contest, right?
Another one of my two cents...

Hey (again) Meg. Nice sentiments but its not very realistic. Many people enter a contest in hopes of getting votes. And it isnt even about the final VOTE count but more how many people actually SEE the entry. I think Goat was just trying to promote that some members try and go back to the contests on day three to check out some of the late entries...some of them are pretty good.
thats all.
Meg, good input so far...even if I disagree...stick around and keep up the good work

Well, thank you. I do plan on sticking around and bettering myself at Photoshop and even if I don't get the votes I won't get discouraged. I fight hard and love making art (in one form or another). So all that really matters is that I like it, right? I have come to learn in this last month of owning Photoshop that it has endless possibilities. You can download new filters, shapes, actions, brushes, etc. and it never gets boring. I do work on my own photos and this whole thing is helping me to better understand what I want to do and can do with Photoshop. I think that this site is awesome so far and love everyone so far.
and again, thank you.

That same group are all EXCEPT Paul Von and maybe a couple others.people worried about getting votes who blow every vote they have at the start of a contest hoping for reciprocals.
Your right, there are some who do it that aren't unfair players.
The use of "ALL" was WRONG of me..My apologogies.
I still say there are those who do it just for votes...
I feel confident about it cause these same folks never give the guy a vote till he's reached 8th,9th, or 10th entry.
As for "Welcome Votes" , Yup I do that....and most of those folks
never see a vote from me again..I think by the tenth chop
they realize if they aint gonna do good chops or at least show a good effort, I aint
gonna be their for them.
