This is an excerpt from one of Adobe's FAQ PDF files. If you already own a previous version of PS you can get the upgrade price to the full premium version of CS2 creative suite.
Q: I own a copy of Photoshop. Does Adobe offer any special upgrade paths from Photoshop to Creative Suite 2?
A: Yes, as an owner of Photoshop, you are eligible to upgrade to Creative Suite 2 Standard for US$499 or the Creative Suite 2 Premium for US$799

i got my full copy of PSCS2 from ebay £16, all registered and updated, i got a load of other adobe programs with it too, there all up and working, registered and updated

Hmmmm..... £16.... that would be LESS than $799 American, wouldn't it?
Even with inflation and the downfall of the Bercosian Fenning that seems a better deal. How'd you do that Splodge? Was someone reselling their license??

Marco, ask your puddle jumping friend to stop at a nearby college campus. He can pick up the entire suite for about $700. I'm told no one's asked for their student ID.

I thought the academic versions weren't the same as a full version?

Won't that just be the standard version Eve...not the premium?

the academic version is evil, go to ebay or pay 1,000's of dollars, WTF is the academic versions, i keep seeing folk sell the full version and all saying"not the academic versions" what's that all about?

I have the acedemic version of PS7 and it works fine for me.
And ive used Cs2 acedemic version.
Ive never used a non acedemic version.
