I've only been doing this for about 2 months. I've messed with it before but nothing serious or hardcore. I used it to take things out of photos or fix photos. Then I discovered how I could use it to create a better more artistic look from the photo and I have been hooked since. I thank everyone again for the support and comments, it's helpful. And I am trying to learn to perfect myself with other tools, I learned something today and kinda felt like a dumb a** for not kowing that before, but it's all cool because now I know. I'm off to bed, it's been a long day. See yall tomorrow!

two things that really help,
Use The Pen tool.
(insert clever reinman poster here)
and, If you dont already Use masks.

YES-- learning how to use masks was one of my biggest photoshop breakthroughs

I totally agree with megagirl. I'm looking for the same type of critiquing and I too need to do the same. I think this site can be used more for learning if we all rowed in the same direction.

you make a mask and use brushes. black for erase white for unerase.
I'll post something more descriptive in a little bit.

Meg, someone actually took the time to make an alias for the sole purpose of posting that negative comment. It would've been way more courteous and helpful had that member sent you a PM offering to help you w/ your future chops. This is a site well known to help ppl new to PS.
