The more I see of all these banners the more I hope JMH goes with a banner rotation. These are so dang cool!
Just another thought... There is browserhawk (or other browser sniffer techniques) that will let you determine the viewer's location. Maybe use that to create a script the will let you display a banner that's appropriate for their hemisphere and the time of year? So this way our "down under" friends get the spring banner that would make sense to them while those "up nort" get a fall/winter banner?
The fun part is that we'd all be able to create 4 seasonal banners for the rotation.

should be done more, I agree with that
maybe for special events too (holidays, my birthday and stuff) bit like the google logos ( http://www.google.com/holidaylogos.html ).
Not to often offcourse, 365 different logos per year is a bit too much
this all depends offcourse on jmh's beer supply
