I used Paul Von Stetina's outlined image created in photoshop with the stamp filter and then carried it over into Illustartor CS2 and used the live trace feature... It smooths the edges and it's really easy use... There are different settings to make it look even better, but I didn't mess with it much...

BTW nice job Paul, the stamp method works great!
