Mr. ReyRey? Sir?
I was wondering, if it's not too much trouble, may we see the .psd for JMH Adds the Final Touch?
It's such a great transformation of brick-to-cake.
Please? Look I'm even making the eyes:

ok ReyRey...contest is over...cough up the PSD or the sources. I looked at this over and over and only see outside sources. This either means you are AMAZING with your chopping skillz or most of it is another source.
no excuses. I know you have the psd...everyone keeps their psd's.
and before anyone jumps down my throat, I mean no disrespect by this. If it is as he says, I would love to see this psd as much as any of Marco's.
*cough* showcase *cough*

I wasn't meaning or implying bad things. We all know ReyRey knows what he's doing.
So far I have Rey's "FleshWound" and one other that I can't remember right off the top of the head.
I just wanna learn now that I can finally open.psd files.
I must be annoying to him.
{goes to make sponge cake from Rey's recipe}

Hey Tofu,
My layered file is on another computer. I will be there tommorrow. By the way, My post said "Wall was used to make the frosting and the cake." It did not say that's all that was used. I did use a cake source to. It was small, so I made a pattern of it. That looked phony, so I cloned over repeating spots and set it to "overlay" over the original brick wall. I still was not happy, so I took the image of the brick wall , duplicated it, Neutralized it, and put it over the cake pattern layer, set to "Multiply". I think it was "Multiply" Maybe "overlay" or something else. Then I duplicated it again, played with the "sliders" so that only the darker areas were showing, and set that to....... "hard light?" (I'm guessing). Then I color corrected the whole thing to look like cake with brown edges. That's how I did that. Now for the dissapointing part....I flattened all the cake effects because I wanted to dodge and burn shape into it and I could not do it without flattening the layers. Sorry. Most everything else is still in layers if you still want it. Ever since the prize contests have started, I stopped worrying about saving layered files. I also stopped posting them because it gave my identity away during the prize contests, So I was not worried about flattening anything. From now on I'll try not to flatten things or I'll save another version before I do. I've been called out before and posted the layered files. That is why I started doing that in the first place. Guess I'll have to start doing that again.

If you make a new layer and fill it with 50% gray then set it to overlay you can burn without flattening layers.
That was krank's tip and it has worked great.

Thanks for the process overview Rey. When I saw sloppy mortar I thought of cake too and was interested in how you did yours. I didn't even think about it being a prize contest.
Don't worry about the layered file if you don't have it anymore. I'm just awed by what can be done with layers and blending modes so I'm always wanting to see how things were done in the hope that sometime something will stick in the brain.
