Creating thread after thread of e-mail forward/YouTube links can have the opposite effect of getting people involved. When a link is posted, it's likely that the only "discussion" that will result is someone saying "ha, that's funny." If you want to get people involved, start a
conversation.
Nothing wrong with YouTube vids, but please keep them in
one thread.
I'm sure for many people, when they glance at the 12 most recent threads on the homepage and see mostly "funny" link threads, their eyes glaze over and they ignore all of the threads.
dfwsusan, maybe you should have your own personal thread where you post all of that stuff. (Call it "Susan's link of the day" or something) I'm not being sarcastic/mean here, and I'm not singling you out (you singled yourself out with your "for the record" speech). But if posting videos, games, salvation army snowflakes, etc is your "thing", then put it all in one place and own it. You can post to your heart's content without cluttering up the forums with a million threads.
