Let's see... my first experience with photoshop
*cough* version 3 *cough* was in a college computer graphics class (everyone experiments in college, right?) Well, "class" is pretty generous, as they didn't actually have a teacher who knew how to use the programs. It was more that they had a room full of computers that they let us access and teach ourselves and get a class credit for it...
Thankfully, my first pieces of photoshop "art" are inaccessible as they were stored on
floppy disks (in all of their 1.4 MB of glory...) Although I probably have printouts of stuff in some dusty folder somewhere, which I will scan if I ever find them. I have an unfortunate picture in my head of an attempt at combining the front half of a lion with the back half of a black sports car...
*shudder*
Oh wow, this just occurred to me-- last year, I was actually cleaning out some boxes and came across a whole bunch of floppy disks with all of my stuff from that computer class. Not knowing what to do with them (and having nothing better to do), I ripped them apart, with the thought that the inside floppy circles with the metal ring in the middle could be transformed into some kind of cool art project.
I never did anything with them. BUT, I
did find a good home for them... I actually gave them to Queen La Tiff over the summer, because I knew she'd appreciate a random gift of strange art materials.
She did
circle of life.
