Here is the challenge. We are all familiar with this film. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OXf8fr0Kp3Q We all see these before and after beauty shots. Well, let's do some of our own. This will give us all a chance to improve Wink our chops too. We all know everyone is beautiful in there own way but not everybody can be a model. Well in this thread we are all models. Lets see what you can do with normal faces to make them into super models. Also, try cutting out of the background and put them into another. This will help people that have trouble with hair siloing. (yes you!) There are some pros out there so please help those who are having trouble. I would also like the choppers to post their own pictures here too for beautifying. Be brave. I will post my own here as soon as I get a chance to take a picture. PLEASE keep in mind, this is not a place to make funny pictures. "Chop The Chopper" is the place for that.
Let me know if you like this idea or hate it. Feel free to post your own pics. Also post your before and after shots here. Have fun!!
Here is a random image I found on the net. Make her beautiful!!

Here's a quick one with half the result coming from the "Ugly Banners" software advertised on top of your screen.

Cool! Great work Suzie. I've downloaded the pic 2-Rey. I'll take a shot over my vacation.

I'll also upload a pic of myself ASAP. I'd be interested to see what I'd look like as a good looking guy. Laughing

The examples above are great. All these programs and filters usually just blur the details so that it looks painted or air brushed. You can't see blemishes or imoperfections any more but it looks like they are photographed through a fog. It looks good for some situations like make up commercials but we want realism here. Lets try to make it look natural at the same time as beautifying her. We may want to change the structure of the face too. Some peoples eyes are close together, some people have larger or smaller noses. Most models are pretty symetrical. In the video above they stretch the girls neck. Long necks (in history) were a sign of beauty. It's ok if the image looks like someone else when we are done. Really push the boundries but try not to make it look like a painting. Never completely remove the shapes (bags) under the eyes. Leave a little something there.
The healing tool in ohotoshop is magical. Very Happy
Also, watch the flesh tones. Make sure they don't look sunburned or jaundice. Good Luck Wink

Nice one Vokaris. She looks years younger. I'm sure she would be thrilled to have this image. I noticed the eyes are smaller. Good choice. I would probably shrink the nose too. Wink What does that soft ware do?? Did it shrink the eyes or was that you? Does it just blur imperfections or does it make stuctural desicions too? Just wondering. Smile Is it worth whatever it costs?

Rey² - I used the free demo of Portrait Professional. I'm not advertising it, just gave it a shot. It works best when the subject is facing the camera. It does let you tweak face sculpting, skin tone, eyes and teeth whitening and various other parameters, bringing it closer to the 'perfect face'. I had to liquify the eyes a bit after the PP results. The strange modus operandi of PP is that you submit your image over the Internet to have it processed on their server (which may raise some concerns). The demo version leaves a watermark on the forehead (which I healed in PS).

Nice idea, ReyRey!

Here's what I could do in a little over a half hour. Not entirely happy with it, but not too bad...

Edit: I updated some of the coloring and think it looks ALOT better!
(here's a link to the older version if you want to compare: http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/445/womandeagegc3.jpg)

Any tips on making this better are appreciated...
