How can I participate in the free public beta of Photoshop CS3?

The Photoshop CS3 beta is available (in English only) to any Photoshop CS2 users. So… you must own a copy of Photoshop CS2 AND have a valid serial number in order to get a Photoshop CS3 serial number. Your copy and serial number of Photoshop CS2 can come from any of the following:

* Full, upgrade or education version of Photoshop CS2
* Full, upgrade or education version of the entire Creative Suite Standard or Premium
* Full, upgrade or education version of the Adobe Production Studio, Video Bundle, or Web Bundle.

Again, in order to make this really simple all you need is some version of Photoshop CS2 and it’s serial number.
If you do not own Photoshop CS2

If you don’t own Photoshop CS2 then you can download and try the Photoshop CS3 beta for 2 days. Essentially, you have a 2-day grace period before you have to activate the software.
If you don’t activate it by the end of that 2 days then you will no longer be able to use the CS3 public beta.

I am downloading the beta right now. What I have seen so far is that CS3 has an improved selection tool that will make chopping so much easier.

Has anyone else downloaded and tried yet?

Downloaded it...tried the new features....WOW.

There are more than a few improvements. The new quick selection tool is working great, especially with refine edge. With these to it is much more intuitive. Further opening jpg as a camera raw gives a whole new set of possibilities. The vanishing point tool is pretty much enhanced in a positive way.

Auto align and auto blend worked well for my panoramic photo's and zoomify can come in pretty handy for web-use.

most of all I like the new cloning palette, where you can get 5 cloning-points and the most wanted en renewing one is the smart filter. Filters are grouped under the actual layer so you can play around with them and than even can paint on the mask to leave a particular part of the picture out of the filters.
