The reflections are so wrong on so many levels. Perspective of the reflections has to match the buildings. Unless the buildings are not vertical, but lean at an angle, in which case I do apologize for my insensitive comment.

I should send it to a news agency, and see if they believe it. But then, i'd probably get arrested for fraud.

Quick send it to Reuters (or Fox). They'll believe anything!

the reflections look correct to me..all the angles of building leans are inverted accordingly.

thbeghin wrote: No, perspective is right Buildings are vertical, still water is horizontal. Reflection of buildings at 90° is vertical - it cannot meet the corresponding building vertical at an angle.
I'll draw you a picture later.

vokaris, you're right if the camera is perfectly vertical. But in this case it's not.

I present to you exhibit 'A' - the worst model in the history if bad models. The point is this: the reflective surface is horizontal, the shiny metal thingy is vertical, the camera is placed as close to the 'floor' as I can get, looking up. Please note the reflections don't change the direction of the vertical at the point where they meet the reflective surface.
I know I cannot approximate the vanishing point of the original buildings, but I hope you can accept this as a proof of concept. Original digital camera file available for inspection.

"The incident angle is equal to the reflected angle"... Following your logic, my model should look like this photoshopped image

This is the last one and I rest my case. Let me repeat my statement - at the point where the true vertical meets the horizontal reflective surface, the reflection continues the same line - it does not go at an angle. You may see a curving down due to lens distortion.
I cannot reproduce Mr. Beghin's setup, but to make the image work one should probably study the original photo to find where the horizon is, I strongly suspect the camera had some roll when taking the picture. You should also take into account the lens distortion. If I were doing this image I would first straighten out all verticals from perspective and lens distortion (the Andromeda LensDoc plugin does a nice job), work out the reflection plane, make all reflections true vertical and then distort the final image back to match the perspective and lens-distortion of the original.
