Hi all

just wondering if someone knows or can point me in the direction of turning an object into glass, i have searched the web but either keep missing it or typing in the wrong search parameters

I use this as a guide, it was the only glass tut I could find when I looked for it a while ago.

Could you explain in more detail what you are trying to achieve. I found a nice tut for making a glass ball.

thanks for all the great replies, as for posting the pic might get a bit ackward as i want to try something for a contest have a great idea but this step is killing me

thanks for the link voks have bookmarked it as there are some great tuts there but already have the object and need to think of saome way of making it transparant

hope i am making myself a little more clear

Did this in a few minutes, just change to B/W, duplicate layer,change style on that layer to negative, then insert your backgound image between the two layers and softly remove some of the top layer using layer mask and a soft brush. Its much easier with a smooth object , with patients, I think it will work on anything..Hope this helps???? The more you remove the clearer the glass becomes. Very Happy
