Murcof
Call it...contempo-classical blip-hop minimalist music.........pretty much. Murcof is Fernando Corona(also of The Nortec Collective). He takes bits'n pieces of classical works and mixes with minimal techno to produce his own sound and at the same time, seems to keep the mood of the original classical piece.
Martes (Tuesday.......I think )

Alot of his "Martes" album takes some patience ,as it can be slowly evolving. I'm surprised that I haven't worn that disc out yet.

Yessss..... Black Sabbath!!
I'm a bit torn between the Dio Sabbath: Mob Rules http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMhc4jFUwf0
...or the Ozzie Sabbath : (your post ,for example) , as I think they seem to each have their own sound.
and then there's the Ian Gillan Sabbath: Zero The Hero : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL_svZmiGWw (The "Born Again" album had quite a different dynamic for Sabbath) of which I also like a select few songs.
Ya know that's a good idea......"random good song of the day".

aah, indeed renholder is nothing to turn down.
and Puscifer did, in fact, do some stuff for the underworld soundtrack.
and if you're gonna do some Renholder, then lets try some Faith No More with Mr. Patton? this ones a little more jazzy but still pretty dang good.

Yeah...Faith No More...mentioned a few pages back, but that's ok. I dont mind bring'n them up again at all. The way I see it...if Mike Patton's involved, you can be pretty damn well sure it's gonna be good.....ie FNM, Mr. Bungle, or his new outfit "Peeping Tom" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pcvBFFflEc
...also mentioned a few pages back

I just discovered this posting/forum topic...
and I love it!!!
two of my favourite passions
new to my collection
Tool - Opiate
Violent Femmes - Violent Femmes
Violent Femmes - Add it Up
Depeche Mode - Music for the Masses
Roberta Flack - Collection
The Velvet Underground - The Velvet Underground & Nico
Nico - Chelsea Girl
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat - Soundtrack
The Colour Purple - Soundtrack from the musical
NIN - Year Zero
I know that a lot of them are old, but I needed retail therapy and
updating to CD's is a good way to get the therapy I need!

I would hope that someone else here has heard of Ekova. They're a great cross-cultural band. ........... "Otherworld Music"........ Dierdre Dubois's vocal style is a akin to Elizabeth Fraizer(The Cocteau Twins)in it's frequent "non-language"and other tongues I'm not quite sure of. Dead Can Dance is another group that comes to mind .........anyway, I found at least one from the "Space Lullabies" album:
Siip Siie http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnyQNwzia3c&mode=related&search=
Dierdre also released her first solo album "One" (2005)
of which is equally as good, IMO. There's a great strip'd down version of The Moody Blue's "Nights In White Satin" of which is better than the (sadly overplayed) original. [I'm sure I'd get a smack in the head (from a MB fan) for that]
Waiting For Spring ( shitty YouTube compression )

check it out
