Vertus Fluid Mask:

Any of you guys ever used it i have just "obtained" a copy and i think that its very good.

For those who dont know its a filter which opens the layer in a new window and calculates all the different areas of the photo. You then paint the ones you want to keep red (autofills the sections) then the ones you want to keep green. then it works out the edge you are following. You press save and it creates a very clean cut out.

Its very time saving rather than using paths or lasso although it does only work well with good pictures. Others it can get annoying...

saw the demo at psworld in boston.. was interesting. kinda like a quickmask with more options. seems neato.

I actually received one from JMH (serial via email + download link) for my 1st anonymous contest win, then won the thing again for my 2nd win - donated the second one to a friendly PSCer.

As far as usefulness - haven't used it yet

I think its great personally, perhaps not worth the money but still a great addition to have with photoshop.

same i dont think its worth as much as they charge but its defintly saved me alot of time before. I think there are other tools which do a similar thing and are probably cheaper i might have a look see if i can find the best one and mayb write a qucik review of them.

anyone know of anyother masking/ selecting/ cutting-out plug-ins
